Founded in 1961 as the Dulin Gallery of Art, the Knoxville Museum of Art moved into its current facility in World's Fair Park on March 25, 1990. Designed by noted museum architect Edward Larrabee Barnes, this 53,000 square foot concrete and Tennessee pink marble building features five galleries, the Great Hall, auditorium, Museum Shop, and various gardens and terraces. KMA received accreditation from the American Association of Museums in 1996.

The Co-op produces six mainstage productions a season, an alternative season known as the Beehive, a theatre-training program known as the Actors Co-op Training Studio and several arts outreach programs. The Actors Co-op is dedicated to providing entertaining, thought-provoking and inventive theatre to the Knoxville area, by placing its focus on the actor and their ability to create an honest performance. The Actors Co-op believes in establishing a strong bond between the audience, the actor and the story of the play.

The Tennessee Theatre is one of the last great movie palaces still in operation. Opening its doors on October 1, 1928, the Tennessee made kings and queens of all who entered its lavish interior. Afterall, the idea of the movie palace was to create a fantasy land, a place where people could forget the outside world and its troubles - at least while they were inside the castle on Gay Street. The Tennessee Theatre is still captivating audiences with its ambiance and with the entertainment it has to offer. Besides enchanting crowds with personalities Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh on its big screen, the Tennessee hosts a variety of world- renowned entertainers throughout the year. The theatre is also home to the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and the Knoxville Opera Company.
Frank H. McClung Museum The McClung Museum is a general museum with collections in anthropology, archaeology, decorative arts, medicine, local history, and natural history. The exhibits document ways of life, cultural trends, and technologies from prehistoric times to the present day, and showcase much of Tennessee's past -- its geology, history, art, and culture. The McClung Museum is a special place -- a place of discovery, a place to learn about the world around us. As a part of the University of Tennessee, the Museum supports and participates in the University's mission to serve the state, region, and nation through scholarship, teaching, artistic creation, professional practice, and public service.

The Carpet Bag Theatre, Inc. (CBT) is a community based, non-profit, professional theatre company dedicated to the production of new works. CBT's Ensemble Company develops new scripts primarily through collaboration and improvisation. Founded in 1970, CBT is a corporation of writers, artists, dancers and musicians.
